Week 1 Reflection

I began this week eager to begin my senior project assuming it would be straightforward. I learned in the first hour that this would not be the case. I realized that I had no idea how to begin planning a road trip. Because of this, day one did not go as well as I had hoped. I didn't get as far into my planning as I had wanted and it was becoming clear that this was not going to be as easy as I thought. Day two I woke up motivated and eager to move along in this project. I had a meeting with my mentor, Chris Farrell, who guided me through parts of it and offered his support. He also gave me the idea of going on a camping trip.

The following days went well. I fell into a healthy daily schedule, fitting in time for working out and attending cycling practice, all while ensuring I get my required hours for each day. My project began to move along as I learned to take it step by step. I first began with planning out where I really wanted to go, then finding campsites that lead me out west, researching things to do in different places, then researching each of the campground options.

Overall, I think that week one was very productive. I have been enjoying the work I am doing and I look forward to what is next in the project. Next, I plan on completing the research on each of the campgrounds and creating a rough timeline. Also happening during week two, I will be going on a camping trip with some of my friends.
